The 59” this week was very much appreciated as was the few days of cloudy and cooler weather. However, this did not improve our situation, it just kept us from getting further into a deeper drought.   This is being a very difficult situation for anyone trying to germinate seed of any type of crop without irrigation. Streams are low. Established plants are showing stress on warm sunny days.  We really need several inches of good soaking rain to start getting out of this hole with that we’re in.
