After receiving double (7.97" vs PRISM normal of 4") normal precipitation for the month of April, it has turned drier over the last week here. However, pond and streamflow levels are robust as baseflow remains strong and groundwater levels are at or above normal for early May. Farmers are taking advantage and getting tillage and planting done in this dry window. Lawns are rich and green and spring wildflowers and trees are blooming.
