.22" rain over the last 2 days brought total for calendar year to 1.09".  Soil surface is damp, but ground remains dry beneath.  Creek is still not running, stock tanks nearby are dry.  Supplemental watering of food plants still needed.  Expected spring migrant bird species arriving, but individual numbers low.
