With 0.23” of much needed rain this week and only 2.08” for the month of April, conditions remain mildly dry. We really need some rain. The Pascoag Reservoir rose only 1” this week and is now up to 8’0” but now that we are in May, it should be closer to 9’. Fishermen have been out as have kayakers and the occasional paddle boards. Understory bushes are greening up and most trees have budded. Tree and barn swallows are active out on the lake. Our hostas and day lilies are up to 8”-10”. Forsythia are beginning to green up and lose their flowers. George Washington state park continues to post Medium for fire danger.
