The last two months have been much wetter than normal for us (over 13" of precip), so soil is quite moist with standing water in the low areas of the local woods.  The level of our 20-acre lake (Turkey Lake) is up nicely, perhaps 7" or so from Mar 1, but still well below historical "normal" levels (based on surrounding vegetation). I am installing a metal yardstick to monitor the lake level more precisely going forward on a weekly basis.  Yard and surrounding woods are greening up nicely, at least a week ahead of normal.  Tree frogs and spring peepers are back and vocal!
