Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: IN-NB-43
Station Name: Ligonier 5.3 ENE
Report Date: 4/28/2026
Submitted: 4/28/2026 8:37 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Wet
Description:
We farm row crops and have been getting equipment ready for planting. A few farmers on lighter ground have started planting, we're still too wet to go into the fields with out tracing. No ponding is observed at this time, even with the inch of rain overnight. Weather has had its ups and downs, both temp wise and percipitation. Hay fields are growing well. Rivers and streams are full and in some spots running into the fields. There has been flood warnings in places within a mile or so of us on the North Elkhart river. My veggie garden is too wet to work in, only have potatoes and onions in. Perennials are handling the weather swings fairly well. Columbines and spring bulbs are blooming, despite the ground is still on the cool side. Strong winds have made cleaning up tree branches an on going task.
