Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: NC-MS-5
Station Name: Marshall 13.6 NNW
Report Date: 4/27/2026
Submitted: 4/27/2026 9:47 PM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
Over the last 2 weeks there were only 4 days with any rain for a total of 0.99". I suspect that the lack of rain is why our strawberries are so small (although still delicious). Peas, asparagus, and lettuce continue to grow. We are still under a statewide burn ban due to the dryness. However, our drinking spring is unchanged and the microhydro is running with the large jet. The trees are nearly leafed out, but still sport the lovely lime green and pinks of spring. We have hillsides of blooming wildflowers, including wild geraniums, trilliums, and azaleas.
