A whopping 0.04” rain this week.  Though leafing out, the tree leaves are looking a little droopy.  We keep it long so the grass is not brown ,but is lacking the verdant green of spring.  A soaking rain would be welcome.  Ponds really low, creeks & seeps trickling.  Ground still dry and cracking.  Neighbors got corn in, still betting on rain.  Lots of swallows over the ponds, eating bugs before they make it to the porch.  Turkeys sounding off early in the week, but have been quiet since.  Deer laying low.
