This station stands at 1.97” MTD against an April PRISM average of 4.39”. So unless the midweek systems shown on the medium range models significantly overperform, we’ll significantly miss average for the second time this water year (December missing by more than 2”. Water Year to Date we’re still running at 103% of average. Most notable thing this past week was temperature – we had several frosts, including a hard one (significant enough that they ran pumps in the bogs overnight to protect the new growth). That pulled pond level down about an inch, but it will no doubt recover quickly. Wildlife activity is normal. Did a fair amount of work in the veggie garden this week – surface soils are dry, but you don’t need to go down far to find appropriate moisture, so will hang with the Near Normal rating for the nonce.
