Another week of above normal moisture and below normal temperatures. We had a heavy thundertorm Wednesday evening with small hail. Graupel snow shower on Thursday, So far in April we accumulated 3.5 inch of moisture, which is nearly 3 times the whole month normal of 1.23 inch. Low temperature hit 26 degrees on Friday morning which put a hurting on early blooming flowers. Boise river reservoirs are 95+ percent full, which apparently prompted releases from Lucky Peak to double at 4000 cfs. Soils are excessively which has delayed field work, but also delayed irrigation needs. Winter wheat and pastures are thriving.
