Description:
Extreme above normal temperatures and extreme wet with major yard and street flooding and minor basement flooding.

Precipitation for the period was 5.42”. +4.51” for the period. 
Cal yr 16.22, +6.84” above annual seasonal normal. Record to date.

Temperatures averaged 57.4 degrees, +10.1 above normal for the period.  
Soil temperatures, for the period, at 2” have averaged 52.1 degrees, 4” average is 52.6 degrees, 8” average is 55.7 degrees and 20” average is 54.3 degrees. +8.9 overall increase, on average, from the previous period. 

An extreme week with summer like temperatures and dew points led to extreme, record rainfall this past week.  There has been 15 days with 0.01” or more out of 20 so far this month. On the 16th, received a one day, all-time record for April at 2.61”. 

50% of the trees have leafed out and grass is over ankle deep and in need of cutting with the very warm and wet weather.  Birds frequent the feeder with Starlings, Robins, Grackles and the spring migratory birds. Squirrels and bunny rabbits are out and the chipmunks have returned as well.
