Water Year stands at 100% of normal with 41.54", with 0.50" falling this past week.  The approaching storm will bump that up.  ETo 0.26" and average high and low 59.3f and 42.5f.  Ruth Lake Reservoir remains at 101% capacity.  No change on the Drought Map.  Fisheries folk announced a welcomed season for Chinook salmon only, in the KMZ:  June 13-July 19 and August 1-31.  Quota is 3,900, which if met early will close the season.  Godwit Days well attended this weekend, and by noon Saturday, a couple hundred species had already been reported, including about a half dozen rare birds in the area.  The state and Cal Fire issued warnings about the high probability (91%) of a very strong El Niño coming this fall and winter.  Similar possibly to 2015, but they also alluded to it being close to the extremely severe 1877-78 one that caused global famine.  A Pileated Woodpecker was calling Saturday, a rare treat for this location.
