1.80 inches rain this week, bringing my April total to 4.84", 0.78" above normal. Year-to-date precip is above normal, and water year precip is slightly above normal. Ground had started to dry a bit, but is again soggy. There is standing water in some fields again. A period of dry weather last week into early this week allowed farmers to get into the fields and begin planting. Saw a big increase in planted fields this week before the rain. Homer Lake is full, as is pond behind me. Salt Fork river is running higher than normal.
