With 1.57" of precipitation observed in the past week, conditions at this station appear to be near normal. Though unusual in recent weather, the rain and snow we received has remained in damp soil and surfaces. Grass and some early plants are showing green, with Bleeding Hearts and Colombine beginning to show. Trees are budded and we hope the cooler temperatures don't dip down into freezing. Wildlife is moving around more, with birds showing more activity during the day. Friday's big storm was very close to our location with funnel cloud touch downs and damage within a few miles. Total rainfall was not significant but the wind was really something. We were fortunate to only have yard debris to clean up. A little more time before direct sowing most seeds.
