Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: NC-JC-22
Station Name: Cashiers 3.2 NE
Report Date: 4/19/2026
Submitted: 4/19/2026 7:40 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
We are likely approaching moderately dry conditions but despite low stream water flow most vegetation is holding up well. Some of the tips of emerging iris have turned slightly brown but most perennials and shrubs are tolerating the dry conditions. Trees are leafing out in a typical fashion. Long term predicted dry conditions are influencing the decision to hold off on planting new annuals and replacing winter damaged shrubs. Abundant deer and rabbit population will put pressure on even deer and rabbit resistant plants which is a nuisance for home gardeners.
