Measurable rain on 3 days not including today plus a trace on all other days equals 0.80" for the week and 2.43" so far in April. This morning's rain will only be a couple hundreds, I think. This puts us right on the normal for this point in April. This weeks warm to hot temps and some rain has really greened up the landscape and germinated most everything I planted in the garden. I saw temps as high as 84° with moderate humidity. Still hanging about 80% compared to year to date and water year norms. Stopped feeding birds this week and picked fiddleheads yesterday morning. My asparagus is starting to pop thru the soil. All very early by my normal timing. Asparagus is usually the first of May give or take. I am staying at mildly dry because of the long term trends and I think a week or two without rain with these temps and the soil will be very dry.
