Report Date: 4/18/2026

Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
With 0.86” of rain this week, conditions are near normal for April. The Pascoag Reservoir continues to rise and is up to 7’8” and boaters and fishermen are regularly on the lake now. Local hiking trails are a little on the dry side but close to normal for this time of year. With the heat this week, plants are perking up quickly. The lawn needed it’s first cut this week, forsythia and cherry trees are in full bloom, hostas, day lilies and iris are 4-8” tall and our first planting of radishes are popping up. Hopefully the plants aren’t too impacted by the predicted sub freezing temperatures this week. Summer birds like warblers, robins and swallows have been very active as well. George Washington state park continues to post Medium for fire danger.
