Another week of no rain. Ratio of water vapor pressure in living room to water vapor pressure on back porch when measured 5 times last week ranged from 1:1.5 to 1:1.7. Heat and moisture in the air affects our food purchases this time of year because of visible short-term condensation, soggy packages, and long-term oxidation on refrigerated/frozen food displays in most local supermarkets. Tap water had measurable chorine last week. Distillate from bathroom dehumidifier and ventless dryer. did not have measurable chlorine. Distillate from bathroom dehumidifier was measurably more acidic than tap water.  A couple of wind damaged large branches observed along transportation corridors last week. Burn bans continued last week statewide.
