Spring conditions.  Avg. of #" of snow remain- from over a foot to bare ground in yard.  Good rain and much melting.  Parent Creek is out of its banks and highest I have seen during 10 years here.  Standing water in woods and AG fields in low places.  Many logging trucks on US 2.  Little traffic on my road of any kind. Some snowbirds back, no tourists.

Still no deer on my property.  Should be back any day.  Many road-killed deer alongside highways.  Lots of new birds: Fox and other sparrows singing. Phoebe, Winter Wrens, migrating hawks.  Barred Owls noisy at night.
