Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
0.06” of rain last week. 0.99” of Evapotranspiration. Temperatures were typical with this time of year - daytime highs mostly in 70s and morning lows in 50s and 60s. D1 drought status for my part of Hunt County but I moved the needle to NN this week as everything seems to be doing well. Rain soaks into the ground quickly but I would not say the soil is dry. I planted my new native plant bed over the weekend and had no problem digging down six inches (multiple times). No supplemental watering last week. Native plants growing well and getting blooms. Trees are leaved out and grass is green. I drove around this weekend and the area ponds look to be at or near full. Various species of birds very active in the yard. It’s a beautiful time of year and I feel fortunate. Story for this week is typical Spring happenings.
