Above normal temperatures and very wet with minor yard flooding.

Temperatures averaged 54.0 degrees, +3.2 above normal for the period.  

Soil temperatures, for the period, at 2” have averaged 43.8 degrees, 4” average is 44.2 degrees, 8” average is 45.9 degrees and 20” average is 45.3 degrees. +2.1 overall increase, on average, from the previous period. 

Spring is here this season at the station with warmer weather, wetter soils and above normal rain with plants greening up quite a bit and a few flowers blooming and some trees leafing out and many in bud. 

Many birds have returned to the feeder with Starlings, Robins, Grackles and the spring migratory birds have returned. Squirrels and bunny rabbits are out and the chipmunks have returned as well.

Grass has greened up, may will need to mow this week with very warm and wet weather.
