I chose moderately dry instead of severely dry because the grass is still green. The soil is dry and dusty, even in the woods. The garden soil is so dry that I do not want to weed and leave the unanchored soil to blow away in the mild winds we are experiencing.

The creeks are low or dry. The springs are not flowing. The greens on the garden need daily watering (from rain barrels which are getting low).
