Scale Bar: Moderately Dry
Description:
There has been no rain and there is no rain in the forecast.one day this week the weatherman said it was the perfect spring day. He was right low humidity warm but not hot tempatures. We have spent a lot of time outside. There is a lack of mosquitos and other insects no need for bug spray. The emppheral spring pond still does not have water. We have heard no croaking sounds from toads or frogs. Have seen some green annoles and skinks in the yard. Birds are using the bird baths.

When digging for plants the soil is quite dry. We have done some watering. In a couple of locations, I have not been able to get the sprinkler into the hard ground.

The river cane that has not been watered is very brown and looking bad.

I have felt that my plants are behind in size and blooming compared to other years. On Friday I was in Jackson, MS at the art museum. Their cut leaf cone flower was more than double the size of mine and about to bloom. Do not know if Jackson has had rain or if they have irrigation
