Starting to seem like March's "out like a Lion" lion was just running late, but it chased the lamb away this week. I was able to ride my bike to work on Monday, and again on Thursday. (Would have ridden Tuesday, but the pollen kicked my butt and I had to figure out the best way to mitigate it while riding - which ended up being a combination of mask and Netipot.) Got a nice (masked) walk with my sister on Wednesday. The first rain started after I got home on Thursday, so I didn't ride on Friday, though a couple times I wished I'd risked it ... until about the time I would have been riding home, the thunder and lightning started, and a downpour shortly thereafter. It was the first time I was home and able to do a SigWx report, which was kind of neat, since I'm usually not home or awake to track an event properly. Didn't turn out to be legendary, but it was a fun exercise. The only reason I didn't mark this week as "mildly wet" is that April is usually a fairly wet month, so it's more normal than the dry has been. Last Sunday we did more work in the garden, prepping beds and even direct sowing some squash and melons, at the risk of them experiencing a late frost, which is still a possibility, as much as this feels like Spring is here to stay -- it's still early. Piddled around a bit after work during the week, weeding and such, but yesterday's stormy weather prevented us doing more than shopping for more plants. LOL Trees are all leafing out, fruit trees blossoming. (You'll even note at least one cherry in the pix of the Ranch I attached.) Trying to recall anything meaningful about wildlife, but other than seeing a bald eagle while out and about yesterday, nothing really leaps to mind. Oh, I did see honeybees at the nursery we shopped at yesterday, so that's encouraging. And I did see a hummingbird sitting on a tree branch next door on Wednesday.
