Moisture on 4 days this week totaling 0.27". This included 2.5" of snow that fell in the morning and was melted by early afternoon. For the month 1.63", a few hundreds above the norm.  But I was out with the watering can last evening keeping my seeds damp. Planted onion sets, peas, spinach, lettuce and a few turnip on Friday. Looked like a good stretch of weather to germinate these seeds. Shall see. With the dry windy air and sunshine the soil surface dries quickly. Birds are very vocal including the Phoebe. Heard one last week then nothing until 2 days ago. Now it is calling all day long and a chipping sparrow yesterday. Juncos are still here as of yesterday and Robins are back in the summer birdbath.
