My station had almost an inch of rain over a 24 hour period recently. We are in a D-3 drought (extreme) per drought.gov.

Dusty gravel road and yellow pollen covering surfaces.

The Shasta viburnum blooms were destroyed by earlier freeze.
The dogwoods are putting on a nice show, though.

Single turkey hen visiting my garden looking for birdseed that is cast out by the many goldfinch visiting my feeder.

Fescue lawn is green after fertilizer but not growing very quickly. I may have to start watering the turf.  

high fire conditions reported for today. The nice rain we had won't matter much.
