3.45” of rain last week. 0.83” of evapotranspiration. Temperatures continued to be a bit above normal - daytime highs generally in the 80s but cooled off this past weekend with the cool front to 60s. Morning lows generally in the 60s except the weekend where it went down in the 40s. D1 drought status remains. The rain last week came in 2 different storms - neither severe - the majority was the second storm giving almost 3” in about 5 hours. The rain soaked into the ground nicely and dried rather quickly (about 2 days). Total rain for month of March was 2.39” and 3.96” of evapotranspiration. Plants and wildlife all doing well - no supplemental watering needed with the rain. Picking up my Go ‘n Grow pack of native plants for my new bed next weekend! This will be my third native plant bed for my yard. “My native plants bring all the pollinators to the yard. And they’re like it’s better than yours.” (You have to sing that to the tune of Milkshake.) Attended the drought webinar last Wednesday - really great session - encourage anyone who didn’t catch the live event to watch the recording. Story for the week was the much appreciated rainfall.
