Upgrading to Mildly Wet. March precipitation total (127.8mm) was above normal; last 8 days 41.1mm. So there's plenty of moisture around; temperatures being on the cool side and not a lot of sun but often windy. My intermittent stream was running with only about 17mm rain yesterday (usually it waits until around 25mm), so the precipitation is building up the groundwater. I heard red-winged blackbirds for the first time on 4 April. Otherwise noticed no new birds, but increasing bird song in the mornings and activity. With one warmish (10C) day yesterday, there's been more greening up of grass and perennial garden plants. Snow is forecast for tomorrow night - hopefully the last?!?
