Friday's freeze turned the elm buds yellow. Very slow growth on anything. Pastures look bleak. No moisture since Feb. 14th. Very few birds in the yard unless I keep the birdbath filled and happen to have dog food out. Wild turkey in one pasture-about 6ct. Areas that were previously burned in past few months are very slow to recover and show obvious signs of having blown severely. Concern already for growing and purchasing feed for next Winter. Spring fed creeks are very very low.
