We have had 3.30 inches of precipitation since April 1. When I step onto the grass, there is a little give. It is neither rock solid nor squishy.
The Juncos have gone, and the robins have arrived. No hummingbirds yet! There aren’t as many birds at my feeders. I’m guessing they are feeding on seeds and insects.
The area is popping with daffodils, Scilla, tulips, and crocus. The grass is greening, and the trees are budding.
The Des Plaines River is full. My guess is that the water runoff finds its way into its banks, and it will overflow them.
The wind is 40º MPH and sunny. Wind is making it feel colder, more like 32ºF. The speed of the wind is 13-19 miles per hour.
