March was hot and dry. The March total precipitation was 0.00. The NOAA normal is 0.64. The current water year total so far is 3.23, getting below the normal of 4.09. April 1-2 brought 0.18 inch of rain which was not enough to rejuvenate plant growth. Some ants have appeared but far fewer than normal. Trees and birds are healthy and doing well for now. The Sandia mountains are dry. Our water supply is adequate with consistent flow in the Rio Grande River.
