Week of (3/29/26-4/4/26) observed more precipitation compared to last week. The precipitation observed during this week was 2.74 inches of precipitation. The amount of precipitation measured was more than the last update of 1.21 inches of precipitation for the previous week of (3/22/26-3/28/26). There was a total of 4.68 inches of precipitation that was recorded at station NY-MR-89 for the month of March compared to the normal climatology precipitation at KROC airport for the month is 2.49 inches of precipitation. There was 2.10 inches of precipitation that was recorded at station NY-MR-89 for the month of April compared to the normal climatology precipitation at KROC airport for the month is 0.38 inches of precipitation. There was a trace of snowfall measured for the week of 3/29/26-4/4/26. There was a total of 5.9 inches of snowfall that was recorded at station NY-MR-89 so far for the month of March compared to the normal climatology snowfall at KROC airport for the month is 17.9 inches. Conditions have significantly improved since the last update from last week with the area seeing tons beneficial and measurable precipitation in the form of liquid and frozen precipitation over this past week. The area is currently considered mildly wet and conditions had significantly improved since the last update due to the area receiving beneficial precipitation in the form of rain to help eliminate the drought over the area had experienced since the formation of this drought since from Summer 2025. The sump pump has been pumping periodically during the entire week due to the ground becoming very moist and flooded due to heavy rain that caused minor flooding to the area Tuesday evening into Tuesday night to infiltrate into the ground. Outdoor activities have been poor for walking outside on trails due to areas still experiencing standing water in some areas and local creeks and streams are still very high along with some sprig like mild air in the environment earlier in the week with temperatures warming above average by early-week, but cooling down by late-week and no shoveling of snow had taken place due to little (trace) to no snow accumulation this week and 0 inches of snow depth currently on the ground. The area experienced a mix bag of well above and slightly below average temperatures. Furnace has been working less to heat the house due to the very warm mild air on some days and on other days this week with cooler below average temperatures the area has been experiencing in the week had made the furnace work less than average to heat the house. The yard needed to be cleaned up more from strong gusty winds from Friday afternoon and debris overflowing from the next door neighbors creek that owned by the town that had overflowed and caused flooding in the backyard had caused down tree branches in the backyard and the ground still very muddy and very squishy with all the rain that had fallen on Tuesday and the drainage area in the backyard is full of standing water. First signs of spring emerging with Tulip leaves and daffodils starting to grow above the ground and flower earlier in the week along with the grass is green and vibrant with all the moisture that had fallen over the past couple of weeks. So far, the total precipitation for the month of April is currently above average and total snowfall is currently below average.
