For the week 3/29-4/4 2026 ----- EARLY MORNING TEMPERATURES at Data collection: Aurora : 23, 32, 34, 27, 29, 32, 31 ------- Kingsford: 23, 32, 34, 27, 29, 32, 31------- WATER CONTENT IN THE GAUGE ---- Aurora - .09, 1.70 & .59 = 2.38" & Kingsford - .09, 1.69, .59 = 2.37" SNOWFALL: on 4/3 both Aurora & Kingsford received 2.75" of pure sleet ------ SNOW DEPTH AVERAGES MEASURED: Aurora: 11.5, 11.9, 10.05, 4.91, 4.72, 9.95, 9.8--------- Kingsford: 10.7, 10.7, 8.9, 4.55, 4.01, 7.825, 7.80 ------ Natural wildfire risk is low as everything is saturated in ice and frozen snow ----- US Drought monitor has both Aurora & Kingsford as NORMAL. ----- lots of bird activity this week and deer have been on the move choosing streets and low level snow areas to travel ----- the 2 swans are back up river where they normally hang out in the summer above the Ford Dam as my river neighbor text me this a.m. and more will settle there ----- Also have watched as more geese are also making their way up river to where they settle for the summer and the ducks settle here at the Aurora Bridge ----- Our Actual spring is just a week or two away and no more snow on an average basis. After the 2nd week in April, kinda rare to have snow fall and stick as it is usually in the melting process. ----- photos are in Aurora on 4/3/26 at 7:00am
