With only 1.61 inches of rain in March at TLH airport, the last seven months (Sept. 2025 - March 2026) in Tallahassee is the driest ever since records began in 1892, only 11.54 inches of rain fell.

Now in second place is the seven month period Sept. 1917 - March 1918 with only 12.52 inches. In third place is Sept. 1933 - March 1934 with 14.73 inches. 

The seven month period Sept. 1950 - March 1951 had a wet March (7.43 inches) and that pushed them out of the running.

At my place, I measured 1.58 inches for March, and 12.67 inches for the seven month period Sept. 2025 - March 2026. Normal rainfall for the seven months is 32.41 inches.

Historic drought, indeed!
