Drought conditions continue to exist for the first 3 months of the year. January and March were well below normal but February was above normal. Approximately 4.7 inches of rain fell this year with 7.7 being the normal. So we are in a drought but it has not been horrible. The casual observer may not notice it. Fresh water lakes remain low as the two attached photos suggest. Wildfires will be a threat for the time being.
