Selecting the Condition Bar setting is difficult.  In working in the back yard, I was able to pull up Honeysuckle and weeds with little effort.  Yet, we have received only 1.59 inches of rain in a month that normally sees 4.17 inches of rain.  The recent rain of 0.39 inches we received two days ago have softened up the soil to allow the easy pulling of weeds.  The cooler temps have helped.  Climalogically, I set the bar to Mildly Dry.

Vegetation is still looking good.  The ground is soft and the vegetation appears healthy.

The Red Wing Blackbirds, Juncos, and Ruby-Crowned Kinglets appear to be gone.  We are still seeing Starlings and Grackles.  Reports indicate that Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are coming into the area.  Winter is ending and Spring is here.
