Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: NC-CH-68
Station Name: Fearrington 1.4 SW
Report Date: 3/30/2026
Submitted: 3/30/2026 5:29 PM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Soil moisture levels remain in the Near Normal range while we see more and more signs every day that the seasons are changing. We have tulips in full bloom. The most obvious sign in the pollen everywhere. The picture of the small pond shows how the pollen collects on the surface after a rain. More flowers are blooming every day and leaf buds are appearing on more types of deciduous trees. There is clear water flowing in the stream and the pond is releasing a trickle over the spillway to make its way downstream. We are still seeing the white tailed deer and coyotes. The bird migration is beginning (birdcast.org) and we are seeing increasing numbers of them each night.
