It still has not rained.  The spring pond is non-existent.  I have had to water all my newly planted plants.   The rain barrels are now empty.  The grass/weeds i am not watering show signs of stress and browning.  It has been extremely windy this weekend  I believe there may be red flag fire warnings...I know I would not want to be having a fire this weekend...though I have enough down limbs.  Humidity has been pretty descent so it does not feel overly muggy.   Ground is extremely dry and hard making digging difficult, the spring empheral pond is not in existence.  We have not heard the chorus of crooks from frogs and toads.  I did see 2 common box turtles in the yard
