Going with Near Normal but am balancing having well under 1" of precipitation in the past week with fields that are flooded. This is the normal spring flooding and nothing is extreme. Local river levels appear fine, no where near flooding. No known problems with water supply. The ground is, in general moving towards drier but the ground freezes and then thaws again and this cycle has been repeating. Coldest lows in the past week have been in the teens Fahrenheit, so I think the coldest of the winter has now passed and it's upward from here.
Maple season is passing by. Unsure if it's been 'a good year' for production but it has been yummy.
Snowdrops continue to be ~4" tall, ready to bloom, but mostly unopened due to the cold temperatures. They have suffered multiple rounds of being up and being snowed on.
Started garden tomatoes and peppers indoors.
Earthworms had one night of being above ground and about. Also spotted one swarm of mosquitos (grr). No peepers heard yet.
Allergies have been low to moderate.
Overall, it feels like warmer weather could be around the corner.
