With another 1.54” of rain this week and 5.39” so far in March, conditions are now moderately wet. The Pascoag Reservoir dam is closed and the water is quickly rising. Summer birds like robins and song sparrows are back and the house finches are starting to build their nest on our porch. Spring is coming. Trails at Sprague Farm, George Washington state park and Douglas Forest are extremely wet. A lot of standing water on the trails require detours through the woods to get around. I’ve seen the trails this wet before but not too often. Fire danger is posted as Low at George Washington state park.
