Station Name: Glen Haven 0.4 WSW
Report Date: 3/28/2026
Submitted: 3/28/2026 8:21 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
For week of 22-28 March: (34.4+ 8.2+ 2.6+ 0+ 0+ 0+ 0)= 45.2mm Mildly Wet. High's: -2C to +6C; Low's: -2C to -7C; Wind: Calm to V gusts to 33km/hr; Frost: 0. This week we had 2 days of steady big flake snow flurries. Snow melted on the road, but remained on other surfaces. Then melted. Very wet. Then we got steady light rain for a day and a night. Its been wet. Our back yard is still a mucky, mush pit of saturated grass, thrashed by deer hoofs. The Does and Yearlings are coming 3-5 at a time. Male Pheasants are darting across the road, perhaps trying to evade the local Red Fox, seen darting into the woods. Local streams are running at healthy flow. So good to see them not dry. Hoping the Hammonds Plains Marsh makes a comeback after last summer's drought. In this month of March, we've had 168.0mm of SWE. Our norm is about 20mm/wk for 80mm for a mth. This total makes this March the wettest, with the most snow and rain we've had since moving here in 2021.
