Rec'd .91 inch of rain last evening. No ponding visible in fields/ low areas.Ground was still damp yesterday when walking across the hay field. All ponding from heavy rains has been absorbed or evaporated. Large areas of the hay field show damage to the hay, large low areas are brown, show damage/drowning effects, hoping roots will recover,balance of field has hay up about 3/4" and green with new leaf growth.
Vegetable garden still too wet to work for potatoes and cold crop veggies. Temps were 80 degrees yesterday and down to freezing this morning. Expecting a low of 25 degrees tomorrow morning, many perennials have emerged. Hoping freeze will not damage.
