Burn Bans have been renewed in all the counties around us, including Lavaca County. While things are beginning to green up, leaves sprouting on trees and shrubs, it is still very dry. 
The wildflowers aren't as plentiful as in some years, due to the persistant drought. 
Stock tanks are getting low and the pastures aren't putting on much new growth. 
Vegetable and flower beds need regular watering. It's difficult getting new seedlings going in gardens without constant attention. 
Still, no worries about our well, so far.
