Another dry week...and after a brief cold spell, back to record heat already. Fire danger remains high, burn bans in place, and water restrictions being watched closely. The gardening season is off to a quick start with the warm days, but irrigation is necessary. All but a few (pecan) trees have leaves, the first bluebonnets are now visible (but not as showy as last year) and some of Georgetown's poppies are blooming. I have noticed a few fields of corn nearby (but we are mostly urban locally.)
