Showers and thunderstorms occurred this week resulting in a beneficial 1.59" inches of rainfall. Overall, our area soil moisture continues to improve and our area wildflowers and grasses continue to become more numerous. Next, our Eastern Redbud trees have beautiful flowers this year along with our Kieffer Pear Tree. It is also my hope that the few flower bulbs that have grown in our pollinator garden this year will bloom soon as well as any seeds that may be left over from last years wildflower bloom. Lastly, area wildlife have been active with sightings of various bird species, sightings of various flying insects including honey bees, and you can hear the frogs chirping at night too.
