Station Name: Glen Haven 0.4 WSW
Report Date: 3/14/2026

Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
For week of 08-14 March: (1.0+ 9.6+ 0+ 0+ 14.0+ 16.2+ T)= 40.8mm, Mildly Wet. High's: +2C to +13C; Low's: +3C to -1C; Wind: mostly calm to slight wind, V up to 18 gusts to 29km/hr; Frost: No frost. This week, we got a sample of about everything that can fall out of the sky as precip. After having some clear, then cloudy sky, came the fog. Then drizzle, freezing rain, Graupel, and snow. SOG has gone from 32cm of crusty snow on 08 Mar, to 5.0cm of crusty granular snow and ice patches, with a slight dusting this AM, 14 Mar. There's been a lot of melting, leaving the bare ground very soft, and the bare grass super squishy. On the sunny days, the eaves troughs have an audible melt flow, sounds of trickling water. The deer are coming out more. The yearlings come in pairs in their winter coats, searching for bare grass. Hoof prints show curiousity towards my gauge post. I think they wonder what it is, what does this thing do? They figured out that they can't eat it. (Good thing!) Our Inlet is now part water, part ice sheets, kind of like flat burgy bits. Yesterday, roadways were clear, but the shoulders are very soft. Strong chance of erosion if steady rain. This March is holding its reputation, and Mother Nature is having a Field Day. Two more weeks.
