Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: OR-CC-76
Station Name: Estacada 5.2 WNW
Report Date: 3/9/2026
Submitted: 3/09/2026 8:40 AM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Near normal this time of year is actually quite wet. Soil is soft, even soggy in some spots. There are puddles here and there. The weather this past week has been perfect for growing spinach. It's a pity I haven't planted mine yet. Songbirds are beginning to nest. The hummingbird keeps orbiting the yellowjacket trap - I think she wants to eat some dead yellowjackets - don't know why, because it has been warm enough for some insects to be out. Rose vines are sporting tiny new leaves. Folks are seen with boats and fishing poles, so fishing must be fairly good. The creek is surprisingly low for spring, but the flow is brisk. A few trees are being transplanted, beds are being weeded, the neighbor's cattle have calves, flocks of geese go to and fro, although the numbers seem less than former years. Fire danger is low.
