Most snowpack has melted including in the deep woods, and remarkably little standing water remains, strongly suggesting most soaked into soils that were never frozen hard.  Even my extensive wetland complex is mostly snow free and vert little flooding of downstream flow.  It is my belief that souk moisture is now near normal even though we entered winter in severe drought with essentially no rainfall all 3 fall months.
