Showers and thunderstorms are ongoing this morning and are a welcome sight for sure. Our seven day Storm Total precipitation for this week is 0.53" inches and based on the observations from the National Weather Services' radar we are in just a temporary break in the rain with more expected here in a few minutes. Next, this rainfall has greatly improved soil moisture here at my location and with more rain expected hopefully we can get rid of this pesky drought. Also there is a lot more in the way of grass and wildflowers this week when compared to last week, and our Eastern Redbud trees along with our Kieffer Pear tree are blooming with flowers at this time. Lastly, area wildlife have been active with multiple sightings of various species of birds, multiple sightings of various flying insects including a couple of butterfly's, and also you can hear frogs chirping at night too.
