For week of 01-07 Mar: (0+ 0.5+ 0+ 16.0+ 0+ 0+ 0)= 16.5mm SWE Near Normal. High's: -7C to +9C; Low's: -1C to -18C WCh -20C; Wind: Calm to mostly NV to V, to 20km/hr; Frost: 1 medium. We had 1 heavy wet snowfall, 5cm, SWE 16mm. then it was a cycle of daytime thaw, night time re-freeze. On Wed, temp rose to +9C, and the melt ensued. Eaves trough were flowing. Many puddles on the ground. Re-froze at night. You try to clear what you can during the day. Our stoops are clear, but our sloping upward driveway remains icy. Our back lot is a blanket of re-frozen crusty ice and snow, 35cm. The deer don't mind the crusty snow, they punch right through it to get to bare patches of grass near the tree-line. Saw a couple of Squirrels yesterday, having a great time in a rapid scurry. March is slowly bringing Spring weather. The few sunny days are up-lifting. And as for SOG, we will have run-off. On the people side, many notices up on local businesses to be aware of Flu/Covid symptoms. If sick, stay home. Happy March.
